Instructions:
This can be linked with a programmable robot.
You could use a child to illustrate instructions
to move around the room. Repeat sequences.
Ask the children to describe the path, can they
suggest simple instructions?
You will need squared paper.


Plenary:
Share the programmes out as challenges for others
to solve, encourage the children to be inventive.
Can the children act out a programme?
Set up target places to get to and from-
who can get there quickest, and by the shortest route?
Can they draw conclusions: the robot will end up
at it's starting point if you keep going left.



Extension:
Change the robots limits ie:it can now travel backwards
Turns using 45' angle
Give finished programmes on paper can the
children decide on the written instructions.
