Langley Clock

Public Art Opportunities Through Environmental Education
Langley Timepiece ‘3D Design and Make

Part of the function of Environmental Education is to raise
environmental awareness amongst children and teachers

To promote public participation so that children are made
aware that they can have a say in influencing their environment

Design Brief

A new clock feature is to be placed in Langley town centre.
The Black Country Development Corporation, Sandwell MBC and Langley Traders set a challenge for the children of Langley Primary School.

Langley Clock We want you to produce ideas to be used as
decorative panels in the new town centre clock
There are three panels to be filled with designs
we would like these panels to be decorated with
images of Langley. A panel from the Past Present
and Future, this could be anything you decide to
illustrate Langley.

When you have completed your designs we would like you
to tell some people from the council and from the Traders
associations about your choices in a presentation.

This is a very important project, which will result in
a clock placed in your town, with your own design on it.

We hope you enjoy this challenge and supply the
people of Langley with a special piece
of public art.
