Demonstration Sawing
We saw a demonstration
of a man cutting a long piece of wood. He used a large cutting machine
to cut the wood and then put it into a machine to plane it, which makes
it smooth. This is used to make furniture, cupboards, tables, etc.
The demontration ended, when the man used a band
saw to split the wood into 4 piece making a wavey line on the wood. We
brought the pieces back to school to try to fit them back together.
*The man who works with wood is called a carpenter.
