On Tuesday 3rd July 2001 we all had a questionaire to fill in about what amenities (things/objects) we want to see in the Marl Hole Park.

It is important to have a questionaire so that we can get other peoples points of view, like:-

  • Elderly people
  • Younger people
  • People in different year groups
  • Local residents
  • Police
  • Local council
  • Local businesses/shopkeeps
  • People with young families

We chose these questions by brainstorming year 8 students, from George Salter High School, who live near the park and visit regulary.

Students asked 10 people for their responses to the questions on the questionaire.

Here are the questions:-

How do you rate the facilities currently at Marl Hole?

Do you feel there is a problem with any of the following:

Litter

Dog mess

Not enough facilities on the site?

Site looks untidy?

Do you feel there should be facilities for young people on the site?

If yes, what sort of facilities whould you like to see?

Are there any other changes you whould like to see being made to Marl Hole?

Here are some ideas that we could use:

This is called a 'Aerial Runway'

Age range 7-14 years

This is called a 'Escapade Climbing Boulder'

3.3 m high

Age range 8-14 years old

This is a 'Asualt Course'
