Technical Authority

We act as the ‘technical authority’ for Sandwell schools. This is in terms of advising on compliance with technical standards, particularly those relating to the local, regional and national broadband services.

We liaise on behalf of schools and other Broadband Sandwell users, with local, regional and national partners on new technical standards developments & implementations etc – e.g. the UKERNA Video conferencing addressing schema implementation (linked to the national educational network). We liaise with local partners and suppliers to ensure the effective delivery of ICT services.
